Miss Maple was this year invited to demonstrate ‘how to start’ freestyle on the Sunday at Crufts.
She was rather wild walking into the venue, pulling here, there and everywhere, as she had spent three days cooped up with only a nighttime road walk, whilst I’d been competing with Skiff in the freestyle, heelwork to music and international freestyle. Not enough exercise for a bouncy young dog!
Despite this our first demo went really well. Here’s a short clip. For full video see link below.

Our second demo was for our brand new sponsor’s Vet’s Kitchen. Maple and Skiffle both took a turn on this one and again Maple was really good!

Big bro Skiff also showed them how it was done. After all he had won the freestyle and the heelwork to music!
Afterwards they were both tuckered out and wanted to cuddle up together.
Just a bit of time at the end of the day to tackle the shops then home. Only stopping for an ice cream on the way out, which they may have both got a little lick of!
Overall I was very pleased with how she coped. No major freak outs and she enjoyed herself in the ring! Good girl.
